Drone photography and videography has revolutionized the way we capture the world from above. With the ability to reach heights and angles previously impossible or costly, aerial photography solutions offer breath-taking views and unique perspectives. Whether for real estate, events, or creative projects, drones provide a versatile and efficient way to capture stunning images and videos.
Exploring the Power of Drone Photography and Videography
Drones are not just about taking pictures from above; they provide a new dimension to storytelling and visual communication. Here are some key benefits and applications:
Real Estate Marketing: Showcase properties with sweeping views of the land and surroundings.
Event Coverage: Capture large gatherings, festivals, and outdoor events from unique vantage points.
Environmental Monitoring: Track changes in landscapes, forests, and water bodies over time.
Creative Projects: Offer filmmakers and photographers new angles and dynamic shots.
Drones can fly at various altitudes and angles, allowing photographers to experiment with composition and lighting. The flexibility of aerial photography solutions makes them suitable for both commercial and personal use.

How to Get the Best Results with Drone Photography
To maximize the impact of aerial photography, consider these practical tips:
Plan Your Shots: Scout the location beforehand and decide on the best times for lighting your main area of focus while having in account the position of the sun. Early morning or late afternoon will give you the most dramatic lighting.
Check Weather Conditions: Clear skies and minimal wind ensure stable flights and sharp images. Cloudy will give you nice and soft shadow which can be more pleasing depending on the subject.
Use the Right Equipment: Invest in drones with high-quality cameras and gimbals for smooth, steady shots.
Follow Regulations: Always comply with local drone laws and make sure to check that it is permitted to fly in the area. To fly a drone in Poland, you are required to undergo training and get certification to fly drones with a weight above 250 grams. More about it below.
Experiment with Angles: Try top-down, oblique, and panoramic shots to add variety. Take time to practice moving both the camera and the drone for the best type of camera movements.
Post-Processing: Enhance colours, contrast, and sharpness using photo editing software. Having as drone that can shoot in Log will give you much better flexibility during post processing.
For those who prefer professional assistance, drone photography services offer expert pilots and photographers who can deliver high-quality results tailored to your needs.

What is the Cost of Drone Photography?
Understanding the cost of drone photography is essential for budgeting your project. Prices vary depending on several factors:
Project Scope: Larger areas or longer flight times increase costs.
Pilot Expertise: Experienced drone operators charge higher fees for their skills. FPV drone pilots will require hundreds of hours of experience to become skilled enough to fly smoothly and safely.
Post-Production: Editing and retouching services add to the total price.
Permits: Some locations require special permissions with local authorities, specially in Mielec as it's near an airport.
Typical pricing models are flat fees per project, or packages combining shooting and editing. For example, a basic real estate shoot might start around 500 PLN when included in a package, while complex commercial projects can exceed 2,000 PLN.
When hiring professionals, always request a detailed quote and clarify what is included. This transparency helps avoid surprises and ensures you get the best value.

Tips for Choosing the Right Drone Photography Provider
Selecting the right provider is crucial for achieving your vision. Here are some recommendations:
Check Experience and Portfolio: Review previous work to ensure their style matches your expectations.
Verify Licensing and permits: Confirm they comply with legal requirements. In Poland, a A1/A3 drone license will suffice for most cases. Some areas might be completely off limits for drones.
Discuss Your Goals: Clear communication helps tailor the shoot to your needs. Set one concise objective you want to achieve and
By choosing a reputable provider, you can focus on your objectives while leaving technical details to the experts.
Flying a drone in Poland: How does the law work?
Professional and legal drone services in Mielec and throughout Poland require several key requirements to be met. As licensed operators, we always adhere to these rules, guaranteeing our customers safety and legal compliance.
A brief guide to the obligations of a drone operator in Poland:
Operator and Drone Registration: The basic starts by registering in the National Drone Information System (KSID), available at drony.gov.pl. You must register as an Operator (if your drone weighs more than 250 g or has a camera). After registration, you will receive a unique Operator Number, which must be permanently affixed to each of your drones.
Training and Certification (Pilot Licence): In order to fly legally in the so-called Open Category (covering most commercial flights up to 25 kg), it is necessary to complete a free online training and pass a test on the ULC platform – this is the A1/A3 licence. For more advanced operations, e.g. closer to people (category A2) or specialised flights, additional training and theoretical/practical exams are required.
Mission Planning and Flight Check-In: Before each take-off, it is necessary to check the airspace in which the flight is to take place. We use the official DroneTower application of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PAŻP) for this purpose:
Checking zones: In the application, we verify whether a given area (e.g. near the airport in Mielec) is located in a restricted zone (e.g. CTR, military zone).
Check-in: Each flight must be reported in the DroneTower application.
Contact with local authorities: If the flight is to take place in a controlled zone (e.g. airport CTR), it is necessary to obtain approval from the PAA, often by contacting the relevant air traffic control service by telephone, in accordance with the procedure indicated in the app.
Safety and Procedures: The pilot must strictly adhere to all safety rules learned during training (including maximum altitude of 120 metres, flying within visual line of sight – VLOS). After completing the mission, it is mandatory to complete the check-in in the DroneTower application.
Unlocking New Creative Possibilities with Aerial Photography
Aerial photography solutions open doors to innovative visual storytelling. Artists and businesses alike can leverage these perspectives to stand out. Some creative ideas include:
Time-Lapse Sequences: Capture changes over time from a fixed aerial position.
Landscape Panoramas: Create high resolution images of large locations.
Cinematic Movements: Use smooth drone flights to add drama to videos.
Nature and Wildlife Documentation: Observe animals and habitats without disturbance.
3D scanning large structures: While capturing images from multiple angles we can combine them and create a 3D model of a building which can be used for various purposed of documenting, analysis, marketing and many more.
Experimenting with these techniques can elevate your projects and captivate your audience.
Embracing aerial photography solutions allows you to see the world from a fresh perspective. Whether for business or art, the stunning images captured by drones can inspire and inform in ways traditional photography cannot. With the right approach and support, your aerial vision can take flight.
